Finituss – EX (Expectorant)(Sugar free)
Composition
Each 5 ml of Finituss – EX contains Ambroxol 15 mg + Guaifenesin 50 mg + Terbutaline 1.25 mg. + Menthol 1.0 mg.
Finituss – EX is prescribed for the treatment of
Productive cough, Cough associated with bronchitis, bronchial asthma, emphysema and other bronchopulmonary disorders where bronchospasm, mucous plugging and problems of expectoration co-exist.
About the drug:
- Finituss – EX Contain 4 ingredients
- Ambroxol-15 mg : It is a mucolytic and mucokinetic agent that breaks down acid mucopolysaccharide fibers in the sputum. Makes the sputum thinner and less viscous and therefore more easily removed by coughing.
- Terbutaline- 1.25mg: is a bronchodilator, prescribed for asthma, bronchitis and emphysema. It works by relaxing and opening the airways that cause easy breathing.
- Guaifenesin – 50 mg: Guaifenesin is an expectorant, prescribed for chest congestion. It promotes lower respiratory tract drainage by thinning the mucus in the air passages to make it easier to cough up the mucus and clear the airways.
- Menthol : helps cool the airway passages and soothe the throat

As directed by the physician.
Usage Direction :
Shake the bottle well before use. Check the label for directions before using Finituss – EX and take it with or without food in doses as prescribed by your doctor with the help of a measuring cup which is provided with the pack.
Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight. Never support self-medication or recommend your medicine to another person
Side Effects of Finituss – EX
The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, bloating, indigestion, vomiting, stomach pain, sweating, headache, skin rash, tremor, and increased heart rate. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine can also cause sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make sleepiness worse.
Storage
Store at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Finituss – EX is excreted in breast milk and may cause adverse effects in the baby. Hence, it is not recommended for breastfeeding mothers.
DRIVING
Finituss – EX may cause dizziness or drowsiness in some people. Therefore, drive only if you are alert after taking Finituss – EX.
LIVER
If you have any concerns regarding the use of Finituss – EX in patients with Liver problems, please consult a doctor.
KIDNEY
If you have any concerns regarding the use of Finituss – EX in patients with Kidney problems, please consult a doctor.
If you miss a dose of Finituss – EX Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
